EuropeanIssuers and FESE have released a joint Position Paper titled “Unleashing Retail Investor Participation in the Corporate Bond Market”.
Increasing retail investors’ access to capital markets is vital if the EU aims to secure a sustainable economy, digital adoption, and shared prosperity for the future. The EU needs to
empower its retail investors so that they can consciously participate in public capital markets by making investment practices accessible, simple, and transparent.
Expanding access to corporate bonds can significantly boost retail participation in capital markets, enhancing financial knowledge and confidence. This is not only a step towards completing the CMU, but also improves the EU’s competitiveness on the global stage.
